The Guinness World Records have been around for 60 years. A legendary accolade, there are about 50,000 requests per year, but only 6,000 applications are accepted. Anyone can set a record, in any field. And that's why even celebrities have tried to make it into this famous record book!
Here are 10 A-listers who hold a Guinness World Record, and it's nothing to do with earning bucks, but more about reaching a personal best!
1. Shakira
Shakira has an astonishing three records! Her singing prowess allowed her to win the best-selling Spanish album. The second was for the best-selling Spanish single. And finally, her third record was being the first celebrity to get 100 million likes on Facebook!
2. Hilary Clinton

Thanks to all the media coverage of the 2016 US elections Hillary Clinton became the most "searched" woman during the campaign. If she'd won the elections, then she would have easily clocked up even more! That said, as for the most searched American citizen, the award goes to... Lady Gaga !
3. Ozzy Osbourne
The Black Sabbath singer landed his Guinness World Record in 2010 after belting out the loudest and longest scream to an audience of 52,000 fans at Dodger Stadium. The heavy metal singer even received a Guinness certificate in honor of his record-breaking scream.
4. Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock

Professional wrestler and actor, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, holds a number of world records in the sporting field, but this particular one concerns… His selfies! Indeed, he holds the record for the person who took the most selfies in three minutes - a total of 105! Note that on each of the selfies, the condition was that his neck and face had to be centered for the result to be counted.
5. Metallica
Metallica is the first band to have toured all 7 continents ! This record was revealed after a concert they gave at the Argentinian base of Carlini in Antarctica. This concert was only the second one to be performed in Antarctica and they only played in front of 7 people!
6. Ellen DeGeneres
We all remember the Oscar selfie that was taken and tweeted by American TV presenter Ellen DeGeneres. This tweet has gone down in history for being shared 3.3 million times! But, this record did not last long, since it was broken by a 16 year old boy, who wanted to win 1 year's worth of chicken nuggets if his tweet was retweeted enough times. And he won by clocking up a record 3.4 million tweets!
7. Regis Philbin
Regis Philbin is a famous American TV host. He entered the Guinness World Records in 2004 after spending no less than 15,188 hours in front of a television camera during his career! In 2011, he broke his own record with a total of 16,746 hours. This actually corresponds to 1 hour daily, but in this case spread over 50 years!
8. Eminem
It was in 2013 that rapper Eminem broke the world record with his song "Rap God". In 6 minutes and 4 seconds, the rapper spits out 1,560 words, an average of 4.28 words per second. In the fastest segment, he comes out with 6.46 words per second!
9. Robert Downey Jr.
Robert Downey Jr got his record in a roundabout way. He received a birthday card from Chinese fans that had no less than 5,339 signatures! This record was previously held by Churchill Insurance.
10. Michelle Obama
The wife of former President Barack Obama helped secure a world record in 2011. She joined a group of 400 children seeking to set the record for the number of Jumping Jacks in 24 hours. The number of repetitions was equivalent to 300,265 people performing Jumping Jacks for one minute, breaking the existing record.
