11 celebrities who didn’t hesitate a second to please their fans
Celebrities are often portrayed as inaccessible, arrogant, and snobby people. This is certainly the case for some of them, but for others it’s just the opposite. Indeed, there are famous people who are totally aware that they would be nowhere without the love of their fans. And sometimes they like to give it back...
Here are 11 unusual stories of stars who have done acts of kindness and love for their fans.
1. Chris Evans and Chris Pratt
This superhero duo from the big screen made a Super Bowl bet. The loser would pay a visit to a children’s hospital...dressed in their superhero costumes! Chris Evans won the bet and Chris Pratt paid a visit to Christopher’s Haven in Boston. But despite winning, Evans still went along with his friend to Seattle Children’s Hospital to bring the kids some Captain America treats.
2. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
The bodybuilder-actor actually has a big heart hiding underneath all that muscle. He invited a child with terminal cancer to the set of Baywatch. Tater, 7, had sent him a letter explaining that he was his favorite actor and that he would love to meet him before the disease takes his life...
3. Ed Sheeran
Young Triona Triestley was a big fan of Ed Sheeran. Stricken with cystic fibrosis since childhood, a campaign was launched on Twitter with the hashtag #SongForTri. The tweet ended up being seen by the singer who decided to give her a call. While singing his song "Little Bird" over the phone, as if lulled and at peace, Triona closed her eyes forever, surrounded by her family.
4. Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth
The two actors who play popular Marvel characters went to the bedside of some sick children at Lady Cilento Hospital. They visited about 80 children, and gave them Thor costumes and treats. They even agreed to an interview with one of the kids.
5. Mila Kunis
A true fan of the actress, military veteran Sergeant Scott Moore went all out. He posted a video on the internet asking Mila Kunis to go with him to the Marine Corps Ball. The young lady did more than just respond to his video: she also accepted the sergeant's offer and went with him to the ball.
6. Ellen DeGeneres
One day, the TV show hostess received a letter from a fan, as she receives hundreds of others every day. Except this one was different. This lady worked in a children's hospital. She worked hard and could not manage to make ends meet to support her family. Ellen flew her to Los Angeles and gave her a check for $10,000.
7. Amy Schumer

9. Bruno Mars
When Zumyah Thorpe was 11 years old, she was in a terrible car accident. During her stay in the hospital, the teenager listened to the singer's songs over and over. A few years later, during one of his concerts, Bruno Mars heard that the young lady was in the crowd. He then stopped his performance and pulled her onstage, where he sang "Just the Way You Are" just for her.
10. Katy Perry
Music has many virtues and Tony Marrero would have to agree. A survivor of the Pulse Club shooting in Orlando in 2016, he explained onstage at “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that he overcame his injuries in the hospital thanks to the song "Rise," by Katy Perry. No one knew it, but Katy was backstage that day. She came up on the stage to give him a big hug. As a "thank you", Katy Perry offered to pay for Tony’s tuition for his first year of film school to help him make his dream come true.
11. Robert Downey Jr.
He plays Iron Man on the big screen. With the help of Albert Manero, a #CollectiveProject student and founder of Limbitless, they made a unique bionic arm for a young boy. It was made with a 3D printer, and the family didn’t have to pay a cent. Robert Downey, Jr. handed it to him.
