We always have beauty standards and ideals. But it’s clear that in reality, these are only a dream. Finding the perfect person sometimes takes a lot of time, a little luck, or... when it comes to actors, a romantic role on the big screen.

Here are 11 couples who made us dream on the big screen, but who were also in love in real life.

1. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield

We all fell in love with this little couple in The Amazing Spider-Man. Obviously, we’re talking about Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, who have a perfect relationship, until the tragic end. But that was only the beginning, since Emma and Andrew really got together after this movie. Today they are no longer together, but we’ll always remember their story.

2. Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder

This supernatural love story gave way to a real story in the lives of the actors. Although in “The Vampire Diaries,” Elena and Damon share eternity together, their off-screen relationship only lasted for three years. The actors went their separate ways, and Ian is now married to actress Nikki Reed.

In the TV show “Revenge,” they went from love to hate, but in real life, Emily and Joshua are still in love.

This couple is a very good example for Hollwood to follow. In fact, Blake and Penn both played in “Gossip Girl” and have been together for 2 years, while playing their respective roles in the series. They broke up in 2010, but remained on good terms as they continued the show, while having this common past.

9. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson

Who doesn’t remember this perfect couple? When the whole world was following the Twilight saga, the fictional couple was at the center of all the attention. But this love story became real and what seemed to be as perfect in real life as in the movie ended pretty quickly.

10. Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling

Another couple that seemed to be perfect on the big screen. The main characters of The Notebook got together after the movie, and their story lasted 4 years. The funny thing is that at the beginning of filming, the two actors couldn’t stand each other, but it’s true that there’s a thin line between love and hate.

11. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher

The saying "If it’s meant to be, it will be" perfectly characterizes the relationship between Mila and Ashton. In fact, they met while filming “That '70s Show” in 1998, and 14 years later, in 2012, they finally got together. Their love story is still going on and is even more solid with their two children.
