The 15 most beautiful Miss World winners in the history of the contest
The Miss World contest is famous for being the world's oldest beauty contest.
Eric Morley, a British advertising agent, created it in 1951. This contest was supposed to be a one-time event, but due to its popularity, it became an annual one. Choosing 15 young women from the long list of the amazing Miss World winners was not an easy task.
Here are the 15 most beautiful winners of the Miss World competition since its creation.
1. Susana Duijm, Venezuela

Venezuela holds the record for the most Miss World winners, so anyone would think that all the most beautiful women live in this country. In total, 6 Venezuelan women have won the title. Susana was the first to benefit from this privilege. Thanks to her victory, she was able to launch a career as a TV presenter.
2. Penelope Coelen, South Africa

This young 18-year-old worked as a secretary. She charmed the audience and became the first Miss World from South Africa. After her reign, Penelope returned to South Africa, where she got married and had five sons, and then three grandsons. She has been a lady of high society ever since. Coelen has an interest in photography as her main hobby and is the owner of a beauty salon. As a tribute to her splendor, a type of rose has been named after her: the Rosa Penny Coelen.
3. Ann Sidney, United Kingdom

Ann Sidney was the second British contestant to win the Miss World contest. After her victory, she took some minor TV roles, as well as a few in movies, where she played in The Avengers and Are You Being Served?. Ann also starred in the James Bond movie, You Only Live Twice.
4. Madeline Hartog-Bel, Peru

Following her victory, Madeline lived in Paris and later in South Florida. She got married there and had a little girl.
5. Jennifer Hosten, Grenada

A year after winning the competition, Jennifer began working at Air Canada. She got married and moved to Bermuda. Next, she moved to Canada where she graduated with a degree in psychotherapy. She has two children and five grandchildren.

After a career as a model, Cindy Breakspeare devoted herself to music. She had three children, including Damien Marley, who followed in his father’s footsteps and became a famous reggae singer. She also has four grandchildren.

Here’s another representative of the UK who has won the world’s most coveted beauty title. Sarah-Jane Hutt’s victory so enraged the other contestants that they criticized the decision of the jury, and even refused to attend the ceremony in honor of Miss World’s "coronation."

Linda is not only a beauty queen, but she’s also an impressive business woman. For 20 years, she ran her own spa company and published an autobiography. In 2015, she returned to the Miss World contest, but this time as a member of the jury.

Aishwarya Rai is a famous actress and model. She is also an ambassador for L'Oréal. She is fluent in five languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Tulu. Since 2007, she has been married to Abhishek Bachchan, the son of the famous actor Amitabh Bachchan, and they have a daughter.

Priyanka is a talented singer, actress, and model. She has participated in numerous charity events in India and the United States. She is also an ambassador for various social organizations, for example, raising money for the CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) and the Confederation of Indian Industry. She has also helped organize campaigns to eradicate illiteracy.

Miss World 2008
Ksenia was a former athlete. She practiced rhythmic gymnastics and running. After winning the Miss World contest, she began her modeling career in Italy, Spain, and France. She modeled for Valentino and other great designers. Ksenia was invited to be a member of the jury of the Miss World and Mister World contests, an offer she accepted in 2016.

This actress, model and television presenter, is the first Filipino candidate to win the title of Miss World. She was born in the United States in a mixed family, with an American father and a Filipino mother. Her family moved to the Philippines, where she graduated and then continued her television career.
15. Rolene Strauss, South Africa

Model Rolene Strauss became the third South African contestant to win the Miss World title. Rolene has been interested in modeling since she was 8, after seeing a South African crowned Miss World in 2000. She is passionate about golf, as well as flute and guitar. In the spring of 2016, she launched her own family charity, called the Strauss Foundation, which deals with issues related to women's health. Then in August of the same year, she gave birth to her first child.
