Modern life can make consumers impulsive. We quickly throw things away in our quest to always have the latest gadget, clothes, accessories... As a result, lots of items are still usable when they're thrown in the trash.
In other words, waste that isn't in fact waste. Some of these objects would bring joy to people who could never afford them. but we rarely think about that as we continue with our "out with the old, in with the new" lifestyles.
