Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco on February 24, 1955. His biological mother, a student named Joanne Schieble, had to abandon the baby because of her parents’ pressure. When they found out she was pregnant by Abdulfattah Jandali, a Syrian, they threatened to disinherit her.
It was Steve’s adoptive father, Paul Jobs, who instilled in the child a love for electronics. His adoptive parents also paid for Steve’s education, because they wanted the best for their son. Steve Jobs didn’t like it when his parents were called “adoptive“: ”They were my parents 1000%."

3. Jamie Foxx
Jamie Foxx was born in Texas into the family of Louise Dixon and Darrell Bishop. Shortly after his birth, his parents gave Jamie away, and he was placed in foster care with Mark and Esther Marie Talley.
He grew up in an African-American neighborhood, and his grandmother had the greatest influence on him. She’s the one who instilled in him a love for the arts, taught him to play the piano, and influenced his decision to study classical music in college. So, it’s in part thanks to her that he became the famous and talented actor and singer that we all know today.
4. Ray Liotta
Like most adopted children, Ray’s biological parents gave him up, because the family couldn’t afford a child’s upbringing. The boy was adopted by a couple of wealthy Italians. In addition to a beautiful Mediterranean last name he was raised in a new loving family with his sister, Linda.
5. Coco Chanel
She’s the most famous female fashion designer in the world. She was born in 1883 in Saumur and had 4 brothers and sisters. Her parents couldn’t provide for their children, so they spent most of their time with various relatives.

According to Coco, her childhood was a blessing in disguise, because it’s exactly what pushed her to her choice of future profession: she never liked wearing a uniform. She dreamed of dressing all women in the world in beautiful clothes.
6. John Lennon
Soon after John’s birth, his parents got divorced. His mother found a new man, and the boy was given to the care of his Aunt Mimi and her husband.
