A creative engagement photo shoot that's proved to be a complete game-changer

Nowadays engagement photos are as popular as marriage ones. Couples usually choose a stunning (often exotic) location, romantic props and put on their best smiles. Jackie Nguyen and Nate Huntley from Queens, New York, however, decided to get creative when it came to immortalizing their engagement and turned to their photographer friend Isaac James, who helped them take the concept to a whole new level.

Jackie and Nate are both actors and seamlessly produced a series of photos involving some of their favorite movie characters. When interviewed by the Huffington Post, Jackie confessed that she and Nate are total nerds who love the characters they chose to depict, not least because it shows off their kooky side.

Working in the entertainment industry meant that they could call on friends to help out with costumes and props, and they also scoured thrift stores in order to refine their look.

Jackie says she can’t wait for the ‘big day’, as they’ve got heaps of surprises up their sleeves and if this photo shoot is anything to go by, it should be quite an event! Without giving too much away, Jackie says that guests can expect a mix of “Willy Wonka meets Christmas meets a magical carnival.”
