A young disabled person’s touching request to the SONY Corporation... The response is amazing!
Pete Byrne, a young 21-year old American from New Jersey, has had cerebral palsy since birth.
His greatest passion is video games, which are very beneficial for his health because they allow him to exercise his left hand and thus prevent him from having mobility issues.
Except that he had a problem with the new Playstation 4 controller design. Since the new design had a wide and very sensitive central touchpad, Pete was inadvertently pressing it because of the abnormal position of his left hand. It was repeatedly pausing the game during play. Desperate because of what was happening, Pete contacted Sony to share the problems he was encountering daily.
However, he didn't think he would get a response, and even less one that quickly. Alex Nawabi, a member of the company's research and development department, responded by promising to personally take care of it. After exchanging several e-mails to help the engineer understand the problems Pete was having, he didn't hear from the Sony employee.
A week later, Pete got a package that included a controlled modified just for him and adapted for his hands by the Sony engineer.
