The journal Social Psychology and Personality Science did a study of people who take selfies.

They were looking to prove that people who take an inordinate number of "selfies" are undoubtedly narcissistic, statistically speaking.

Researchers at the University of Toronto closely studied the behavior of 198 students.

Half of these individuals excessively took self-portraits at random times of day. They rated the photos on the following two specific criteria: attractiveness and likeability.

Subsequently, an independent panel of 178 people were asked to judge the photographs of each participant using the same criteria.

Comparing the remarks of the participants with those of the panel, the researchers came to the conclusion that people who love selfies over-value themselves concerning their looks. In addition, Daniel Re, a doctor of psychology, confirms that self-portraits reveal a narcissism in itself, and sometimes a mental imbalance.
