Aluminum ball polishing, the latest Japanese craze!
Aluminum foil isn't the most inspiring material. It's practical, but that seems about all... It helps to keep food fresh in the fridge and it's useful when cooking in an oven, but it’s also highly carcinogenic and if a bit gets into your mouth it can react with amalgam fillings. In other words it's not a material that we'd call fun. Or maybe it is? The Japanese have come up with an idea that makes this humble wrapping a lot more interesting!
It involves making balls that are then polished to perfection! And the competition's stiff when it comes to who can make the shiniest, roundest, sturdiest aluminum ball! The idea was born out of boredom. The objective? To form the perfect ball and it’s an idea that’s taken Japan by storm! Forget video games; the Japanese are now enjoying a more manual pastime. Plus it's a really cheap way to while away time!
If this all sounds a bit weird, then read on and discover more about this latest creative craze!
