At 13 years old, this young thief was put in jail, and it's definitely the best thing that has happened to him!
These images were taken from the American reality show, 'Beyond Scared Straight.' In this show, parents who are having a hard time with their children get the chance to send them to prison so they'll learn about the problems they face by choosing a path of crime.
But don't worry, it isn't a real prison and the police, as well as the detainees, are just actors!
Nonetheless, it has surprising results.
Take Ethan for example. At age 13, he doesn't respect his parents' authority, and he regularly steals money from his grandmother's purse.
In the beginning, the young kid finds himself confronted by a policeman who insults him by calling him a wimp, and tells him that it's shameful to steal from an old lady. Then he's faced with the (fake) criminals, whose goal is to shake him down and give him the scare of his life.
The kid breaks down real fast, and I think he'll remember the lesson!
