Explanations are sometimes impossible - we just have to accept what we see before our eyes and stop driving ourselves crazy as we try to find a plausible explanation. Unless, of course, it's actually our eyes that are deceiving us: our brains do have a tendency to play tricks.
And optical illusions are a perfect example. We may have to look at something several times before we find a logical explanation and the following selection certainly messed with our brains!
