Most Instagram users prepare their photos to have the best light. By contrast, these same people often have a tendency to be trashier on their Snapchat accounts, knowing that the images there are seen for only a short time.
Therefore, the gap between the clean image people try to portray of themselves on Instagram and the much less glamorous one displayed on Snapchat is very big.
