New York teacher Alycia Zimmerman uses Legos in her class to teach the basics of math to her students, from fractions to powers.
This method is fun and easier than a book and pencil, even more so, because most children like Legos.
This idea comes to us from the Scholastic website, where Alycia Zimmerman posted an array of ideas with examples of demonstrations and exercises to have schoolchildren do.
The teacher explains, 'In the classroom, the tiny bricks are now my favorite possibility-packed math manipulative!'
