Here's what some horror film stars look like in real life
We often forget that behind the characters who haunt our worst nightmares there are real actors.
You could come across them on the street, and you wouldn’t even know that they were the ones who made you have nightmares on so many nights. For this reason, it’s interesting to put a (real) face with the monster from the big screen.
So here are the real faces of 11 actors who gave us chills in our favorite horror movies.
1. Samara – Daveigh Chase

Despite her young age of 26, Daveigh Chase has already played in many successful movies and TV shows. Among them are Donnie Darko, “Charmed,” and “ER.” However, the role that has remained etched in our memories is that of Samara, the frightening girl from The Ring, who comes out of our TVs to kill us. She is less scary in reality!
2. Jason Voorhees - Ari Lehman

Ari Lehman was the first actor to play the role of the terrible Jason Voorhees. He was easily chosen for the cast of Friday the 13th, because he had the perfect measurements to play the character. In fact, at the time, the actor was only 15 and was 5’9” tall!
3. Freddy Krueger - Robert Englund

"One, two, Freddy’s coming for you." Does this remind you of anything? The role of the serial killer Freddy Krueger was a turning point in the career of Robert Englund. He’s one of two actors in the history of horror films (along with Doug Bradley) to star in 8 horror movies. Today, Robert Englund is always in demand to play roles in other horror movies.
4. Valak – Bonnie Aarons

Thanks to her unusual appearance, Bonnie Aarons has had the opportunity to play in some very diverse roles, from comedies to horror movies. The role of the demon nun Valak that she played in The Conjuring 2 has earned her considerable notoriety. The fans of her character were amazed by the work of make-up artists, saying it’s worthy of the highest praise.
5. Pennywise - Tim Curry

The clown who fueled our worst nightmares comes from Stephen King's novel, It. He still gives us goose bumps today. His role was beautifully played by the famous actor, singer, and composer Tim Curry. Despite a serious illness that confines him to a wheelchair, Tim has continued his career in music.
6. John Kramer - Tobin Bell
Saw, 2003
In addition to the series of Saw films and the many TV shows he has played in, including “X-Files,” “ER,” and “Walker, Texas Ranger,” the role of the famous psychopath John Kramer has indeed been a turning point in the career of Tobin Bell.
7. Leprechaun - Warwick Davis

Warwick Davis is surely Hollywood's most famous dwarf actor. His remarkable appearance and acting skills have earned him many important roles in films such as Leprechaun, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and many others.
8. Michael Myers – Nick Castle

Nick Castle was one of the first to play Michael Myers in Halloween. He owes much of his fame to this role. Today, Nick makes and writes his own films.
9. Pinhead - Doug Bradley

Douglas Bradley (along with Robert Englund) is one of only two actors to play the same role in 8 horror movies. He tried to move away from this character and play in other movies, but Hellraiser will remain the most prominent film of his career. The movie’s fans even think it is absolutely impossible to imagine anyone else in this role.
10. Leatherface - Andrew Bryniarski
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, 2006

Andrew Bryniarski is one of the seven actors who have played the role of the psychopath "Leatherface" in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Today, Andrew is a bodybuilder and has appeared on some TV shows.
11. Jack Torrance - Jack Nicholson

Even though Robert De Niro and Robin Williams have said they were perfect for the role of Jack Torrance, Stanley Kubrick has always stated in his interviews that he only imagined Jack Nicholson in that role. And when you see the results, you can only agree with Kubrick’s choice!
