Mayim Bialik of “The Big Bang Theory” adopts a cat unlike any other
The person who has successfully embodied the genius Amy for several years on the TV show “The Big Bang Theory” is also a big cat lover.
Mayim Bialik has long been known to the public for her role in the hit series “The Big Bang Theory,” where she plays the character of Amy, a scientist unlike any other.
An adoption that matters
It was on her Instagram account that the actress announced a few days ago that she had just adopted an adorable ball of fur. And it’s not just any cat, because this one was born without a pectoral muscle and therefore needs special attention.
An amusing note: the cat’s name is “Adamantium” (a highly resistant metal found in the body of Wolverine from the Marvel comics)! It’s a reference to Mayim Bialik’s role in the show that made her a star, as well as to the metal that the cat has in its body.
A committed actress
Because she’s very committed to animal causes, Mayim Bialik regularly promotes shelters. With the adoption of Adamantium, the actress also encourages people not to buy animals, but rather give them another chance at life by going to adopt them from shelters. A wonderful idea!
