After seeing a commercial for a children's cancer hospital, little Christian McPhilamy asked his mom why the children didn't have any hair. She told him about chemotherapy and the adverse side effects it has on the body and hair. And although he was only 8 years old, he decided to grow his hair for 2 years so that he could give it to children in need. For those 2 years, he suffered intimidation and mockery from the other students and sometimes even adults, who insulted him by calling him "little girl."
