It consists of going to her window every day when the bus goes by, to send a little wave to the students passing in front of her.

But this isn't the end of the story, since this gesture became a routine shared by this grandmother and the Arlington School District school bus in Washington state. And when this habit was broken because 'the grandma in the window' was no longer there, the children became concerned.

Then, upon learning that the woman had had a stroke, they sent her flowers along with a picture of them waving hello, with their bus driver's help...

She was touched by this gesture, and knowing that her health condition would prevent her from being there the next morning at her window, she put up a sign to express her gratitude.
