Your sleep position says a lot about your relationship... Surprising!
Because it's important to know where you are in your relationship, and because the way you share the bed can reveal many things about your relationship.
Whether it's lying on your back, your stomach, or your side, everyone has their favorite sleep position.
Although body language can vary, the posture we use while sleeping with our partner speaks volumes about our current emotional state.
Here are the various positions and what they mean:
1. The 'each person on his or side' position
If you lie back-to-back without touching, it doesn't necessarily mean that you're mad at each other. This can mean that you are independently connected to each other.
2. The 'back-to-back' position
If your backs are touching each other, this shows that you are intimate.
3. Woman as the 'little spoon'
You feel good about your relationship.
4. Man as the 'little spoon'
The man needs to feel loved and protected by his woman.
5. Facing each other, entwined in a 'knot'
You love each other while being independent. You are companions.
6. The 'romantic movie' position
In this position, the man lies on his back while the woman rests her head on his chest. This means that either you're beginning a new relationship, or you love each other just like you did in the beginning.
7. Conversation at night (facing each other but not touching)
Your relationship is peaceful and full of communication.
8. Shoulder acting as a pillow
You want to feel safe.
9. The 'crab' position (taking up unequal parts of the bed)
The one who takes up more room needs space, and the other needs more intimacy in the relationship.
10. The 'edge of the cliff' position (back-to-back but not touching)
There's a certain amount of distance in your relationship.
